Bookmakers predict Euro 2024 final

Two weeks ago we posted an article where we spoke about the bookmakers predicting results for the Euro 2024 tournament. England was the favourite to win the tournament, with France and Germany coming in second and third. The tournament finally starts tomorrow, so it’s time to revisit the bookmakers predictions. England struggled in some friendlies, so the question is if they are still favourites to win the tournament and if yes, who they will face in the final.

England still favourites

England lost their final pre-Euro’s friendly with 0-1 against Iceland. This match was played at Wembley and was a disappointing result for the Three Lions and its fans. This result hasn’t cost England their status as main favourites to win the title, it did hurt their chances a little bit. Before all the friendlies started, England was 3/1 favourites. Now one day before the start of the tournament, their odds are slightly worse with 7/2. Where France stayed on 4/1 and Germany is still on 11/2. The gap has shrunk a little bit, but just not enough for France to join England as main favourites. Fans can still book their England Euro tickets with a good chance to get far into the tournament.

Final against Germany

With France being second favourites to win the tournament, it looks a matter of ABC to see England facing France in the final this year. But when we look at the schedule and assuming both countries will win their groups, it’s impossible to have an England versus France final. If they progress in the tournament, both countries will face each other in the semi-final. Giving another nation the opportunity to get into the final. Based on the odds Germany is the most likely opponent in the final. With the support of their home fans they are deemed a worthy contender this year. Portugal, Spain and Belgium are other possible final opponents. Tickets for the Euro final are already on sale for those who believe in their team.
