UEFA Champions League - Round of 16 - 1st Leg Results

The first leg of UEFA Champions League Group 16 has been completed and few teams managed to gain a clear upper hand. The following is a summary of the results from the Group 16 stage for your review.

Peter Crouch scored the only goal to see his team, Tottenham Hotspur, win the match against AC Milan. Valencia managed a draw against Schalke 04 as both the teams scored a goal each. Raul scored a goal for Valencia in the 64th minute. FC Shakhtar Donetsk defeated FC Roma 3-2, whereas, the other English team, Arsenal saw better off Barcelona beating them 2-1. Lyon drew their match against Real Madrid 1-1. Chelsea defeated FC Copenhagen 2-0 and Inter Milan lost to Bayern Munich by 0-1.

Group 16 second leg will be played between Barcelona and Arsenal on March 8, Tottenham and AC Milan as well as Schalke 04 and Valencia on March 9. Bayern Munich vs Inter Milan and Manchester United vs Marseille matches are scheduled for March 15. March 16 will see matches between Real Madrid and Lyon plus Chelsea and FC Copenhagen played later same day.
