The Portuguese superstar who recently made a transfer from Juventus to Manchester United is ready for his comeback at Old Trafford. He played with Portugal against Ireland in the World Cup qualification tournament and turned a 0-1 score around. With two late goals he not only helped his country winning this match, but he also took the record of most international goals.

A little break before his comeback

When scoring the 2-1 against Ireland late in extra time, emotions got to Cristiano Ronaldo and he took his shirt off to celebrate. He got a yellow card for this action and that yellow card got him suspended for Portugal’s next qualification match against Azerbaijan on Tuesday. Portugal plays a friendly on Saturday against Qatar. It’s not clear yet if Cristiano Ronaldo will play that match, or if he gets off now to arrange himself and his family moving from Turin to Manchester. Either way, he gets at least a week off to get everything arranged and getting settled before his comeback at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
