Arsenal versus Southampton
This could become a vital match for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. After some poor games, it feels like he’s under pressure again. A home loss against Southampton wouldn’t help his case. Arsenal started rusty in this match. Alexandre Lacazette opened the score in the 21st minute of the game and this lifted some weight of Arsenal’s shoulders. A few minutes later Martin Ødegaard doubled Arsenal’s lead. A very important goal for the Gunners, who knew it would be hard for Southampton to score two past Aaron Ramsdale.
