AI predicts two English European cup winners

This is the first year in the new set-up for the European tournaments. This new set-up means all teams still in the tournament know their route to the final. With thee brackets being complete, we thought it was fun to ask AI to predict the brackets of the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. Since we believe it’s important to do things in the right way, we asked ChatGPT, Grok and Gemini. In this article we show how these three chatbots predict the tournaments will go from here to the final.

Champions League

We would like to start with a reminder of the quarter finals draw:

• Real Madrid versus Arsenal
• Paris Saint-Germain versus Aston Villa
• Barcelona versus Borussia Dortmund
• Inter Milan versus Bayern Munich

If we look at the three AI bots we asked to predict the brackets, the semi-finals are going to be:

• Real Madrid versus Paris Saint-Germain
• Barcelona versus Bayern Munich

Just like the semi-finals, all three agree the final is going to be between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, so unfortunately there won’t be an El Clasico in the final this year. The home advantage in the final clearly boosts Bayern Munich attempts this year. Heading into the 2025 Champions League final in Munich, we finally see a disagreement amongst the AI bots. ChatGPT thinks the home advantage will be used by Bayern Munich to win their 7th Champions League trophy. Gemini and Grok believe record winners Real Madrid will add their 16th title.

Europa League

In the Europa League there’s a clear agreement that Lazio and Tottenham Hotspur will meet each other in the semi-final. The other semi-final will be Manchester United for sure, but there is a disagreement on their opponents. Grok believes Atheltic Club will beat Rangers to face Man United. Gemini and ChatGPT believe Rangers FC will be make it an United Kingdom battle. No matter the disagreement, all three believe we’re going to see an all-English Europa League final between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur. Manchester United will win the Europa League according to AI.

Conference League

Chelsea is by far the biggest club in the current Conference League season. It isn’t a surprise that all three bots believe they will get far in the tournament. The mutual agreement is that Real Betis will face Fiorentina in the semi-final, while Chelsea meets SK Rapid. Grok and Gemini believe Fiorentina will lose the Conference League final against Chelsea. According to ChatGPT it’s going to be Real Betis who will lose against Chelsea.
