England drop 2 places, Brazil move up 1st in FIFA Rankings

The latest FIFA world rankings have just been announced and they show that Brazil has leapfrogged Spain into first place with Portugal up to third and the Dutch down to number four. The Brazilians go to the top of the pile thanks to their impressive and undefeated qualifying campaign, while the Spanish are penalised for some of their recent shabby performances. The top five is completed by another European side in Germany who keep the same position as they held last time. England (the bookmakers fifth favourite to win the world cup) tumble two places to number eight while Argentina are up from number nine to number seven. Out of all the African teams, Cameroon are highest in these latest FIFA world rankings, coming in at number 19. The host nation of the 2010 World Cup, South Africa are up two positions to number 90 but a strong showing at the tournament will have the effect of them sky rocketing up the rankings. However, given the open nature of the draw (on paper at least), any one of the qualified teams could go deep into the tournament.About LiveFootballTickets.comLiveFootballTickets.com is a world leader in tickets for football fans.
