Messi Out for Up to Eight Weeks
A third leg injury of a frantic season has ruled Barcelona ace Lionel Messi out for the remainder of 2013.The Argentinian international injured his leg during Barcelona's 4-1 win over Real Betis on Sunday, and he is expected to be on the sidelines for between six and eight weeks. This latest setback comes after a previous leg injury back in August. The little Argentinian was also forced to sit out after tearing a thigh muscle towards the end of September. Both Barcelona and Argentina will be looking on nervously, as both Messi's teams have huge games on the horizon.Messi will now definitely sit out the matches against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Ecuador, and as many as eight games for his club side.Team-mate Cesc Fabregas suffered a similar setback during his time at Arsenal, and he has urged Messi to take his time and be careful about rushing back too early.Fabregas is in the midst of his own injury crisis, however. The Spaniard suffered an injury to his right knee on Sunday night, so he will be forced to miss two international friendlies for Spain. Barca team-mate Marc Bartra was called up to the senior squad to take his place.Whether you want Spanish league football tickets, FC Barcelona tickets or Real Madrid tickets, you can get them here - safely and securely.
