Galatasaray 1-1 Chelsea

Chelsea drew 1-1 draw at Galatasaray. Torres scored in his first start since January after just 9 minutes and Aurelien Chedjou scored for Galatasaray. Mancini brought on Semih Kaya in place of Hakan Balta at helf time in retaliation of Chelsea strong attacks. The gamble paid off as Chelsea made a slow start in the second half. Selcuk Inan failed to equalise, hitting the post from very close. Aurelien Chedjou made up for it when he scored.

FC Schalke 04 1-6 Real Madrid

Real Madrid had a stunning performance with a 6-1 defeat of Schalke. Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale all scored 2 goals each and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scoring the only goal for Schalke in injury time. It took nearly 15 minutes for the first goal to be scored by Benzema. Schalke nearly equalized immediately, but was not to be as Iker Casillas blocked an incredible volley by Julian Draxler's. Bale scored the 2nd midway through the first half. Ronaldo scored in the 52nd minute and again 4 minutes later. Bale scored his 2nd of the match, shortly before Benzema scored again. Klaas Jan-Huntelaar scored the only goal of the match in stoppage time, but obviously wasn't enough.
