Wolfsburg's Josuha Guilavogui threatened with a long drive that was stopped by Petr Cech in his home debut. The popular and ambitious goalkeeper is a recent £10m summer signing from Chelsea. Cech is excited to be fighting for Premiership and Champions League silverware this season along with Wenger’s side.
Thirty-three year old Cech has already enabled the Gunners to earn two pre-season trophies in two games so far this summer. Wenger's men plan to win a hat-trick of victories by next defeating FC Chelsea in the upcoming Community Shield on August 2 at Wembley ahead of the Gunners’ 2015-16 Premiership campaign.
Young seventeen year old Reine-Adelaide stood out on the Gunners’ squad against both Lyon and Wolfsburg. The teenager’s excellent pass to Walcott at 50 minutes helped Arsenal win against Wolfsburg who came in second in the Bundesliga last campaign. Wenger had already predicted that Reine-Adelaide is “something special”.
On Day 1 of the tournament, Arsenal earned a 6-0 win against Lyon.
